What We Inspect and Why
A home inspection is a visual examination of the home’s structure, major systems and components that are visible and safely accessible. Buying a home may be the largest single investment you ever make! It’s important to have a home inspection performed in order to help you understand the home, how it’s functioning, and to identify and document defects that may or may not be evident to you as a prospective buyer. Potential issues can range from simple repairs or replacements, to severe damage, and even safety or health concerns. Selling a house? Obtaining a home inspection prior to listing may streamline your process by identifying defects or deferred maintenance items, allowing you to correct those issues on your own terms.
